Set Designer

Robert Watson is a Melbourne-based designer and maker. He recently completed his final year at the Victorian College of the Arts (VCA), specialising in set design. In 2021, he interned on the Malthouse Theatre production Because the Night. Robert is passionate as both a maker and designer for both live performance and film and television.

Roberts recent credits include: Head of Workshop for VCA productions The Spook, Sweet Charity, B**CH, Dead Serious, Rats on Cocaine Prefer Jazz and Atlas | gadhaba kurrawan; Co-Set Designer for 10 degrees (VCA); set construction for The Cane (Red Stitch Actors' Theatre); Associate Set Designer/Set Construction for Our House (VCA), The Mystery of Edwin Drood (VCA), and Set Dresser for Maddy Jane – Perfection’s a Thing and You’re It (Majella Productions).
