Lighting Designer

Ikshvak is an emerging lighting designer and technician based in Naarm (Melbourne), and a recent graduate of the BFA (Design and Production) at the Victorian College of the Arts (VCA).

Ikshvak’s 2021 VCA Lighting Design credits include three new dance works by Danielle Micich, Amrita Hepi and Daniel Riley, forming Atlas | gadhaba kurrawan, and Gaban, a new First Nations theatre work. Ikshvak also designed Return to Normal and Sight Unseen, choreographed by Antony Hamilton and Linda Sastradipradja respectively, in 2020. He was also the Associate Lighting Designer and Programmer for VCA Acting’s pool (no water).

Outside of the VCA, Ikshvak works extensively in the technical lighting sector with leading arts organisations such as MTC, Dancehouse, La Mama, Theatreworks, Melbourne Fringe and Midsumma Festival.
